Tampa Bay Area · IT & Cybersecurity
I'm David Geiger. I own Spur IT Services in New Port Richey, FL. Most of my clients have between 2 and 20 people, no IT staff, and a lot of trust in whoever they hand the keys to. I take that seriously.

Managed IT
Monitoring, maintenance, support, and someone to call when things go sideways.
Cybersecurity
Layered, business-grade protection. Not just antivirus. The real stuff.
Microsoft 365
Setup, management, and fixing what the last guy didn't configure right.
I work with small businesses in the Tampa Bay area. If you're a large company looking for an enterprise partner, I'm probably not your fit - and I'd rather say that now than waste your time.
Your business is probably less secure than you think
Most small businesses don't have a breach because they're safe. They haven't been targeted yet.
What "managed IT" actually means (and what it doesn't)
The term gets thrown around. Here's what to actually expect - and what's a red flag.
Why your IT guy dreads "while you're here..."
It's not laziness. The small stuff you save up is almost never actually small.
The backup conversation nobody wants until it's too late
Every business owner who lost everything had "a backup." Just not one that worked when it counted.
The Toolbox
How I think about protecting a business
Not a product list. The layers between your business and the people who want to ruin your day - in plain English.
I've been in IT since 2009. Spent years deep in infrastructure and systems engineering before I started Spur IT Services in 2012 - named after a verse in Hebrews about spurring one another on toward love and good deeds. I was taking it a little out of context, but the idea felt right. The year after, I did a nine-day motorcycle trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway with some friends. Came home, handed in my notice, and went full-time. That was the plan all along. The trip just made it feel real.
I try to run my business the way I try to live. Show up. Do the work. Tell the truth, especially when it's easier not to. My faith informs all of that - it's where the name came from, it's the foundation, and if you ask me about it I'll tell you. I'd rather you see it in how I work than hear me say it.
I'm VP of my BNI chapter, on the Chamber of Commerce board, and serving as Service Board Chair for the Hudson Rotary. I'm on the cybersecurity advisory board at Wendell Krinn Technical High School. I help run Pasco BRAVE for storm response and I'm involved with L.E.A.D., a nonprofit focused on youth leadership. I have a family I love. Most of my clients come through referrals. That's not an accident - it's how I know I'm doing my job.
New Port Richey, FL
I've been in New Port Richey since I was 13. My family spent four years on the road full-time - 38 states, an RV, a lot of miles between here and everywhere else. We came back. My office is in the historic Clemmie Butler home in downtown New Port Richey. My friends are here. My extended family is here. My church is here. We've seen most of the country, and we still like this place better. The businesses I serve are the same ones I see at the farmers market, the same ones that sponsor Little League, the same ones that make New Port Richey worth showing up for.
